Available soon: Introduction to Automotive Cybersecurity [Working title]

The far-reaching requirements of integrating cybersecurity into the value creation processes of the automotive and vehicle development industry are here to stay. Cybersecurity can no longer be regarded by OEMs and Tier N suppliers as an add-on that can only be handled with the help of external support. It is increasingly important to build up in-house expertise in the long term – despite the shortage of specialists in this field. At the same time, other vehicle categories (motorcycles, commercial vehicles, small series, trailers, etc.) are becoming the focus of regulatory cybersecurity.

As a result, entry into the diverse fields of vehicle cybersecurity continues to be indispensable for a growing number of specialists in the industry worldwide.

Under the working title ‘Introduction to Automotive Cybersecurity’, a comprehensive specialist publication is currently being produced that will provide a holistic introduction to the integration of cybersecurity into everyday vehicle development.

How cybersecurity is transforming the automotive industry

Since July 2024 at the latest, the obligation to provide evidence of a successfully audited cybersecurity management system (CSMS) has increased the pressure to act on cybersecurity in vehicle development, and not only on the part of original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). Looking at the entire lifecycle and the increasingly differentiated and interlocking regulatory requirements, it is clear that cybersecurity is more than just adding additional security mechanisms. You can read more about this at QZ-online.de, Germany's leading medium for quality and quality management.
